Guys, if you're looking for what may be the ultimate do-it-all big-bore dual-sport motorcycle, take a close look at this 2023 Husqvarna 701 Enduro.

The 701 Enduro represents decades of KTM Group development of high-performance, single-cylinder four-stroke motorcycles. At its heart is the legendary 692.7cc LC4 single-cylinder engine, producing a factory-rated 74 horsepower with massive torque throughout the powerband.

Think of it as a big-bore enduro bike with the horsepower and road-going capability to comfortably cover serious mileage.

This is the sweet spot between a lightweight plated dirt bike and a 450–500-pound twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle. At roughly 324 pounds without fuel, the 701 remains light and manageable enough for legitimate off-road riding while having the power, gearing, stability, and serviceability required for long-distance street use.

Whether you're commuting, blasting back roads, exploring New England trails, riding a Backcountry Discovery Route, or building a machine for a cross-country adventure, the 701 Enduro can do virtually all of it.

THE LC4 – 692.7cc OF BIG-BORE SINGLE-CYLINDER PERFORMANCE

The centerpiece of the motorcycle is Husqvarna's incredible 692.7cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected LC4 single-cylinder four-stroke engine.

Factory output is approximately:

74 Horsepower @ 8,000 RPM
73.5 Nm / approximately 54 lb-ft of Torque @ 6,500 RPM

The power delivery is what makes the 701 special. It has considerably longer legs than a traditional 350 or 500cc street-legal enduro and enough highway power to comfortably cover real distance.

Yet when you leave the pavement, it still feels much more like a giant dirt bike than a conventional adventure motorcycle.

That's the magic of the 701.

WP XPLOR 48MM SUSPENSION

Starting at the front, Husqvarna equipped the 701 Enduro with serious off-road hardware.

Up front is a 48mm WP XPLOR inverted fork, backed by a WP XPLOR linkage-mounted rear shock.

This isn't decorative "adventure-style" suspension. The 701 was engineered to be ridden hard off-road.

You get approximately 250mm of suspension travel front and rear, allowing this motorcycle to absorb terrain that would quickly overwhelm many heavier adventure machines.

These motorcycles are capable of everything from gravel roads and fire roads to aggressive trail riding and even motocross-style jumps in the right hands.

21-INCH / 18-INCH D.I.D. DIRTSTAR WHEELS

This is the true Enduro version of the 701 platform, equipped with the proper off-road wheel combination:

BREMBO BRAKES

Husqvarna didn't cut corners on braking components either.

The 701 Enduro comes equipped with Brembo hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, including a large 300mm front rotor.

Whether you're descending a rocky trail or hauling the bike down from highway speed, the braking hardware is top shelf.

Unlike converting a competition dirt bike for road use, the 701 Enduro was designed from day one as a genuine street-legal motorcycle.

WINGS PERFORMANCE EXHAUST

This particular 701 has already received one of the most desirable upgrades for the platform — a Wings performance slip-on exhaust.

It looks fantastic, saves unnecessary bulk compared with the factory muffler, and gives the LC4 the aggressive exhaust note a big single deserves.

It is also fitted with Wings carbon-fiber heat guards along the exhaust system.

That's a worthwhile upgrade on a bike designed to be ridden standing up and moving around in technical terrain where your riding gear can come into close contact with the exhaust.

ENGINE PROTECTION

This bike is also equipped with an engine/crash protection guard, an accessory we consider almost mandatory for a motorcycle intended for legitimate adventure and off-road use.

It's already installed and ready for the next owner.

CNC FUEL CAP

The rear-mounted fuel tank is one of the clever design elements of the 701 platform.

Rather than carrying the fuel conventionally above the engine, the 701 uses its rear polyamide structure as the fuel tank, helping centralize the motorcycle's mass.

This machine has also been upgraded with a CNC-machined fuel cap, replacing the standard factory piece.

AFTERMARKET LUGGAGE RACK

An aftermarket rear luggage rack has already been installed, making this motorcycle an excellent starting point for a BDR or long-distance adventure build.

Add your preferred soft luggage, camping equipment, GPS, and you're ready to disappear for a weekend—or considerably longer.

ROTTWEILER PERFORMANCE MOUNT

The motorcycle also features a Rottweiler Performance plexi/accessory mount, another useful addition for riders planning navigation or rally-style equipment.

RUBBER-MOUNTED CNC HANDLEBAR MOUNTS

Up front you'll also find upgraded rubber-mounted CNC handlebar mounts.

These help isolate some of the vibration inherent to a big-bore single while retaining the direct steering feel you want from an enduro motorcycle.

ADJUSTABLE AFTERMARKET MIRRORS

The factory mirrors have also been replaced with more compact, easily adjustable mirrors.

They're particularly useful when heading off-road because they can be repositioned and tucked closer to the motorcycle instead of leaving large factory mirrors sticking up where they're more vulnerable on technical trails.

BRAND-NEW GOLD DRIVE CHAIN

Here's the Ken Kaplan Sr. touch.

The existing chain didn't necessarily need replacement, but Senior took one look at the motorcycle and said:

"Let's put a fresh gold chain on it for the new owner."

So that's exactly what we did.

This 701 now wears a brand-new premium gold drive chain, approximately a $200 upgrade installed simply because we wanted the motorcycle looking and performing its best when it leaves here.

It looks fantastic against Husqvarna's distinctive chassis and graphics.

This bike has approximately 2,500 miles and was recently taken in trade here at Kaplan Cycles.

The previous owner was an experienced, mature rider.

All motorcycles & vehicles are sold as-is where-is.

Kaplan Cycles guarantees all motorcycles are as-described. Please read the entire description and watch the entire video before bidding.

A non-refundable deposit is due immediately on purchase. PayPal or Credit Card is accepted for the deposit.

Cash (In-Person), Card (+3% fee), or Wire Transfer are our only accepted forms of final payment.

Full payment must be made within 7 days of auction close.

Your motorcycle must be picked up within 30 days of auction close.

Exceptions are made only for international buyers OR buyers who have ALREADY made transport arrangements with a third party.

If a motorcycle is purchased and left here for longer than 30 days without written permission from Kaplan Cycles it will be resold. In the case of a re-sale, the owner will be entitled to a refund less storage fees ($25/ day beginning 30 days from auction close) ONLY if the motorcycle was paid in full on-time within the auction terms.

We always describe our motorcycles as accurately as possible.

You are purchasing a classic motorcycle. Even in cases where a bike may be in good running/ operating condition, new problems & idiosyncrasies can arise over-time from sitting or regular use.

If you have an issue with the motorcycle you’ve received, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and before leaving feedback so that we can address your concerns.

It is important you have at least a basic mechanical knowledge before purchasing and operating a classic motorcycle.

Documents are mailed via USPS priority mail with a tracking number. Please allow up to 14 days after payment in full for your documents to be processed and mailed.
