Man… maybe it’s not right to covet thy neighbor’s motorcycle, but the second this bike rolled off the trailer, I couldn’t help myself. I just stood there staring at it thinking, my goodness, this thing is absolutely gorgeous.
Feast your eyes on this absolutely stunning 2013 Triumph Thruxton 900 finished in one of the most beautiful color combinations ever laid on a café racer — metallic British Racing Green with gold metallic striping, matching custom seat cowl, and a professionally painted three-quarter café fairing that transforms this bike into rolling artwork.
This isn’t just another used Thruxton.
This motorcycle came from a serious Triumph collector out of Ohio who owned four immaculate Triumphs. Sadly, he became very ill with cancer and asked us to help find forever homes for his prized collection. He absolutely loved this machine, and after spending time with it ourselves, we completely understand why. Out of the entire collection, this one was hands-down our favorite.
With only 9,000 original miles and over $7,000 invested in tasteful high-end upgrades, this Thruxton is the definition of a properly built modern British café racer.

This bike is a true analog motorcycle experience — air-cooled, torquey, visceral, mechanical, and full of soul. As manufacturers move further toward liquid-cooled electronics-heavy platforms, bikes like this Thruxton are becoming increasingly collectible and desirable among enthusiasts.
The sound coming out of the Dunstall-style exhaust paired with the K&N intake setup is absolutely intoxicating. Crack the throttle and the 900 twin responds instantly with smooth torque and classic British character. It’s fast enough to comfortably run highway speeds all day long, yet perfectly balanced for back-road carving and Sunday café runs.
The suspension setup is phenomenal. The Öhlins shocks combined with the fork brace completely transform the ride quality and handling. Sticky tires, strong brakes, low café ergonomics, and that beautiful parallel twin make this one of the most enjoyable motorcycles we’ve ridden in a long time.
Honestly, out of the 350+ motorcycles in our museum collection, if I had to choose one to ride down scenic Route 169, cruise Reservoir Road, or head down to the Vanilla Bean for breakfast, this would be at the top of the list.
Personal Triumph History
My own history with Triumph motorcycles goes all the way back to 1975 when I was 10 years old. My father took us to look at a burgundy-and-white 1972 Triumph Daytona 500, and I remember falling in love with it instantly. Years later, I ended up riding that very bike to high school, along with my brother on his Bonneville 750. Those old Triumph twins left a permanent impression on me.
This modern Thruxton captures all of that same spirit — classic styling, torque-rich power delivery, beautiful proportions, and timeless British character — but with modern reliability and upgraded performance.
