Pristine Mint Original Showroom Condition

If you're excited about the latest Buell Hammerhead 1190 or Super Cruiser powered by the incredible Helicon V-Twin, here's your opportunity to own the motorcycle that started it all.

Offered here is a stunning 2008 Buell 1125CR 25th Anniversary Signature Edition, one of the most significant motorcycles in American sportbike history. This model marked a new era for Erik Buell, representing over 25 years of engineering innovation distilled into one purpose-built American superbike. With its revolutionary chassis, race-bred handling, and 146-horsepower Helicon V-Twin, the 1125CR laid the foundation for today's 1190 Hammerhead and Super Cruiser.

Showing just 10,718 original miles, this two-owner motorcycle has been professionally serviced by the nation's premier Buell dealership and remains an exceptionally rare 100% factory-original example.

A Landmark in American Motorcycle Engineering

Few American engineers have influenced modern motorcycle design as profoundly as Erik Buell. Every aspect of the 1125CR reflects his obsession with centralized mass, lightweight construction, and uncompromising handling.

Instead of carrying fuel in a conventional tank, the massive aluminum frame itself serves as the fuel reservoir, lowering the motorcycle's center of gravity while increasing chassis rigidity.

The patented underslung exhaust places weight low in the chassis, improving balance and agility, while the oversized aluminum swingarm further contributes to exceptional handling characteristics.

The result is a motorcycle unlike anything else ever built in America.

Championship-Proven Performance

The 1125 platform immediately proved its capabilities in competition, capturing the 2008 AMA Manufacturers Championship for stock motorcycles.

Its combination of explosive power, outstanding braking, and razor-sharp handling made it one of the most capable American sport motorcycles ever produced.

Many of the engineering concepts introduced on the 1125CR continue today in Buell's latest generation of high-performance motorcycles.

Rare Factory Original Condition

Finding an original 1125CR has become increasingly difficult.

Most surviving examples have been fitted with aftermarket exhaust systems, fuel tuners, race modifications, or cosmetic changes.

This motorcycle remains remarkably original, retaining:

  • Original factory exhaust

  • Factory bodywork

  • Factory intake system

  • Original chassis configuration

  • Stock appearance throughout

Collectors understand how unusual it is to find one preserved exactly as Erik Buell intended.

Ownership History

This is a documented two-owner motorcycle.

The original owner accumulated only about 500 miles, treating it primarily as a display piece.

The second owner purchased it in 2020, enjoyed it responsibly as an adult enthusiast, and recently traded it toward a new motorcycle.

The bike has clearly been cared for throughout its life.

Professionally Serviced

Our factory-trained technicians have completed a comprehensive service including:

  • New battery

  • Engine oil and filter service

  • Complete fluid replacement

  • Front brake fluid replaced

  • Rear brake fluid replaced

  • Hydraulic clutch fluid replaced

  • Comprehensive 100-point inspection

This motorcycle:

  • Starts instantly

  • Idles smoothly

  • Pulls hard throughout the RPM range

  • Shifts perfectly

  • Clutches flawlessly

  • Fuel injection performs exactly as designed

  • No oil leaks

  • No coolant leaks

It is fully serviced and ready to ride or display.

Production Numbers

Production of the first-year 1125CR was extremely limited, with fewer than 1,500 units believed to have been produced.

Considering how many have been modified, raced, crashed, or neglected over the years, finding a clean, low-mile, stock Anniversary Signature Edition has become increasingly difficult.

This represents an outstanding opportunity for both collectors and enthusiasts.
