Guys, feast your eyes on one of the rarest and most desirable motocross weapons ever created —
the legendary Honda CR500 in a Late Model Honda CR125R Aluminum Frame!
This is not your average dirt bike. This is a hand-built aluminum-frame CR500 conversion combining the best two-stroke engine Honda ever made with the best handling aluminum chassis Honda ever produced:
the final-year 2007 CR125R chassis.
Only a handfull of these bikes exist. Over the last 30 years, only 7,500 aluminum-frame CR500s have been built worldwide, and today AJ Wagoner at Service Honda builds fewer than 10 per year. These machines have become collectible, highly sought-after, and increasingly difficult to find — especially one built and dialed in to this level.
This bike is an absolute animal.
THE ENGINE – THE LEGENDARY “MOTOR OF DOOM”
Powering this beast is a freshly rebuilt 1986 Honda CR500 engine — one of the most feared and respected two-stroke motocross engines ever built.
The engine was completely rebuilt from the crank up and is absolutely pristine. The cylinder measured perfectly, so it retains the rare & desirable stock bore configuration with a brand-new Wiseco piston.
Engine Highlights:
-
Complete engine rebuild

New crank bearings
-
New crank seals
-
Brand-new Wiseco stock-bore piston

The engine has only been given 3 heat-cycle and less than 30 minutes run time,
only ridden lightly up and down the driveway since completion.
This thing absolutely rips.
Lightweight CR125 aluminum chassis + CR500 power = an experience unlike anything made today.
THE CHASSIS – 2007 CR125R ALUMINUM FRAME
The donor chassis was a very low-hour 2007 Honda CR125R —
the final and best year of the aluminum-frame CR125 platform.
The chassis was professionally modified to accept the CR500 engine. Because the 125 chassis uses a sharper steering rake, the Pro Circuit pipe was custom modified by our exhaust specialist for proper front tire clearance and improved fitment.
The result is a bike that:
-
Turns on a dime
-
Feels incredibly light
-
Has modern ergonomics
-
Delivers brutal CR500 power with outstanding handling
SUSPENSION
The suspension was professionally serviced and revalved by Factory Connection specifically for the CR500AF application.
Suspension Work Includes:
The suspension has less than five hours since service and remains fresh and tight.

INVESTMENT & BUILD COST
To duplicate this motorcycle today would cost a fortune.
Build Summary:
-
80.5 hours shop labor @ $150/hr = $12,075
-
Parts investment = $5,050
-
2007 CR125 donor bike value = $3,500
-
1986 CR500 donor engine/bike value = approx. $5,000
That’s over $25,000 invested to build this machine.
The good news?
This bike is being offered for substantially less than the cost of commissioning a brand-new CR500AF build.
And honestly, this thing delivers 90% of the experience of a brand-new Built 500 for roughly half the money.
CONDITION
This bike is in outstanding condition throughout and is fully sorted, fully serviced, and ready to ride, race, collect, or display.
