1994 HONDA EZ90 CUB – FUTURISTIC TWO-STROKE CLASSIC!

EXTENSIVE FRAME-UP MECHANICAL & COSMETIC RESTORATION | 49 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL SHOP LABOR | $7,913 INVESTED | ELECTRIC START | AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION | READY TO RIDE!

FEAST YOUR EYES ON ONE OF THE COOLEST AND MOST UNUSUAL MOTORCYCLES HONDA EVER BUILT!

Straight out of the future and into your collection comes this spectacular 1994 Honda EZ90 Cub, one of Honda's most innovative and unmistakable recreational motorcycles!

Looking like something straight out of Back to the Future, the EZ90 was decades ahead of its time. Its radical, fully enclosed bodywork combines the styling of a Jet Ski, a futuristic scooter, and an off-road motorcycle into one incredibly unique machine.

Finished in its distinctive patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme, this 1994 Honda EZ90 is an absolute head-turner!

Honda didn't build the EZ90 to win motocross championships. They built it to deliver something even better: PURE FUN!

And more than three decades later, these unusual machines have developed a dedicated cult following among motorcycle collectors, Honda enthusiasts, and riders who appreciate innovative engineering.

This particular EZ90 has received an extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration here at Kaplan Cycles, performed by one of our highly experienced master technicians.

With 49 hours of professional shop labor and $563 in parts, our total documented investment in this motorcycle is $7,913!

The result is an exceptionally clean, thoroughly serviced, beautifully detailed Honda EZ90 that starts, runs, rides, and presents beautifully.

HONDA ENGINEERING THAT WAS YEARS AHEAD OF ITS TIME

The EZ90 was engineered to make riding simple, enjoyable, and accessible to virtually anyone.

90CC TWO-STROKE ENGINE

At the heart of this futuristic machine is Honda's dependable, responsive 90cc two-stroke engine.

Unlike a conventional four-stroke trail bike, the EZ90 delivers the lively throttle response and entertaining power characteristics that make two-strokes so much fun to ride.

It's compact, lightweight, responsive, and surprisingly capable.

ELECTRIC START – NO KICKING REQUIRED!

One of the EZ90's coolest features is its convenient electric starting system.

Simply push the button and you're ready to ride!

Honda also engineered provisions for a backup kickstarter, an excellent feature for a recreational motorcycle intended for use away from home.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION – JUST TWIST AND GO!

Forget shifting gears or operating a clutch!

The EZ90 features an automatic transmission designed to make riding as simple as twisting the throttle and enjoying the ride.

Unlike many conventional scooter transmissions, Honda engineered the EZ90's drivetrain with off-road operation in mind, including engine-braking characteristics to help riders control the motorcycle when descending hills.

DUAL REAR BRAKE CONTROLS

Another fascinating engineering feature is the braking arrangement.

Since the EZ90 doesn't require a conventional clutch lever, Honda utilized that position for a hand-operated rear brake.

The rear brake can also be operated using the traditional foot pedal!

This gives the rider two convenient methods of controlling the rear brake, while the front brake is operated from the handlebar.

FULLY ENCLOSED FUTURISTIC BODYWORK

The EZ90's distinctive bodywork is perhaps its most recognizable feature.

The motorcycle features extensive molded plastic panels concealing much of the chassis and mechanical components, creating a clean, streamlined appearance unlike virtually any other dirt bike of its era.

BUILT-IN FRONT STORAGE COMPARTMENT

Located above the front fender is a cleverly integrated storage compartment, another example of Honda's thoughtful engineering.

COMFORTABLE OFF-ROAD SUSPENSION

With approximately five inches of suspension travel, the EZ90 delivers a surprisingly comfortable ride over trails, fields, and recreational riding areas.

The generous seat, upright riding position, automatic transmission, and electric start make it an exceptionally enjoyable motorcycle.

EXTENSIVE PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION – $7,913 INVESTED!

This is not simply an old Honda that somebody washed, installed a spark plug in, and put up for sale.

We stripped this motorcycle down extensively and gave it a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration, addressing everything necessary to return it to excellent operating and cosmetic condition.

The restoration was performed by Eric, one of our lead A-level technicians at Kaplan Cycles, who also has Ducati factory training and specialized suspension experience.

Eric personally took an interest in this unique Honda and performed a thorough front-to-back refurbishment.

RESTORATION INVESTMENT

Description

Amount

Professional shop labor – 49 hours @ $150/hour

$7,350

Replacement parts and materials

$563

TOTAL DOCUMENTED INVESTMENT

$7,913

At Connecticut's applicable sales tax rate, a comparable retail repair invoice would exceed $8,000.

That's nearly $8,000 in professional restoration work already completed for the next owner!

We invested the time, labor, parts, and expertise required to properly restore this motorcycle so the next owner can simply enjoy it.

ORIGINAL BODYWORK – IMPORTANT CONDITION DISCLOSURE

We believe in representing our motorcycles accurately and transparently.

This EZ90 retains its original-style bodywork, which has been professionally cleaned, cosmetically refurbished, and reinstalled.

Please understand that this motorcycle is a 32-year-old classic, not a brand-new motorcycle.

There are some age-related imperfections in the original plastics.

The front storage compartment and associated bodywork have previously undergone repairs, including fiberglass reinforcement performed by a previous owner.

Additionally, as is common with Honda EZ90 models, some of the original plastic mounting tabs are broken or missing.

One of the side bodywork mounting locations does not retain its original attachment arrangement.

These imperfections are primarily cosmetic and do not detract significantly from the motorcycle's beautiful overall presentation.

Replacement body panels can sometimes be sourced online, but we elected to preserve and refinish the existing plastics rather than replace serviceable original components.

The finished motorcycle presents exceptionally well, and we encourage prospective buyers to examine our high-resolution photography closely.

We want the next owner to know exactly what they're purchasing.

AN UNUSUAL HONDA WITH A CULT FOLLOWING!

The Honda EZ90 has become something of a legend among collectors and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Even accomplished stunt riders have embraced these unusual machines.

Well-known Harley-Davidson stunt rider Seabear has been seen riding an EZ90 at major motorcycle gatherings, putting his machine through the kind of abuse that demonstrates just how much fun and how durable these little Hondas can be.

The EZ90 might look like a futuristic scooter, but underneath that bodywork is a legitimate Honda recreational motorcycle designed to handle off-road adventures.

Unfortunately, many of these machines were ridden hard, neglected, damaged, or simply worn out.

Finding one that has received this level of professional mechanical and cosmetic attention is increasingly difficult.

STRONG COLLECTOR INTEREST – OUR RECENT SALES

Here at Kaplan Cycles, we've experienced significant interest in Honda EZ90 models.

In fact, during 2026 alone, we've already sold three examples!

Our recent sales have ranged from:

$6,500 to $10,500!

Our highest-selling example was equipped with additional accessories, including mirrors and lighting equipment.

The broader collector market has also demonstrated considerable interest in these futuristic Hondas, with exceptional examples commanding premium prices.

After selling our previous three examples in relatively short order, we don't expect this extensively serviced EZ90 to remain available for long.

Unlike a neglected project motorcycle, this one has already received the professional attention it deserves.
