Take a close look at this outstanding 1991 Honda EZ90 Cub. The original tires remain on the bike, providing compelling evidence of just how little use it received. We estimate that it may have fewer than 25 total hours of ride time. Based on the exceptional condition of the original plastics, it appears to have spent most of those hours riding on pavement rather than being abused off-road.

When we acquired the EZ90, it had been sitting for several years and needed a complete recommissioning. Once the process began, we decided to do it properly. The motorcycle was dismantled down to the engine and frame, thoroughly serviced, meticulously detailed, and carefully reassembled. The completed work order totals an incredible 51.5 hours: 17.5 hours in our service department and 34 hours in our detail and restoration shop.

Mechanically Recommissioned

The engine showed excellent health during inspection. A compression test produced a strong 125 PSI reading, and the cylinder passed a borescope inspection with everything looking excellent internally—exactly what we would expect from such a low-hour machine.

The service performed includes:

• New spark plug

• New oil-pump seal

• New oil lines

• Carburetor removed, completely rebuilt, reinstalled, and tuned

• New fuel lines

• Airbox cleaned and serviced

• New OEM air filter

• Clutch disassembled, cleaned, and serviced

• New transmission seals

• Fresh gear oil

• Brand-new enclosed drive chain and sprockets

• New starter solenoid

• New battery

• Front forks completely dismantled and rebuilt

• New fork seals installed

This EZ90 has been fully sorted and is ready to start, run, ride, and enjoy.

34-Hour Cosmetic Restoration

While the motorcycle was apart, every component was brought into our detail shop for individual attention. Each piece was steam-cleaned, hand-washed, and degreased before the cosmetic restoration began.

The detail work included:

• Kickstand restored and repainted

• Foot pegs restored and repainted

• Foot-peg brackets refinished

• Engine covers polished

• Swingarm repainted

• Rear frame section refinished

• Rear wheel removed, restored, and repainted

• Front wheel restored and repainted

• Front fork lowers refinished

• Mounting brackets vapor-honed and clear-coated

• Brake pedal refinished

• Kickstarter refinished

• Exhaust restored and repainted

• Exhaust heat shield restored and repainted

• Front brake lever refinished

The result is a beautifully preserved classic that retains the character and originality collectors want, while benefiting from a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic recommissioning.

Remarkably Original

One of the most impressive aspects of this EZ90 is the number of original cycle parts that survived in excellent condition. It retains its:

• Original tires

• Original seat

• Original front fender and trim

• Original rear fender

• Original fork boots

• Original hand guards

• Original plastics

• Original graphics and decals

• Original enclosed chain guard

The red, white, and blue bodywork presents beautifully. There are several minor scratches, small beauty marks, and areas of age-appropriate patina visible upon close inspection, but nothing unusual for an original machine of this age. We deliberately preserved these rare factory parts rather than replacing them with reproductions.

Most EZ90s were ridden hard by beginners and young riders, then discarded once they were worn out. Finding one with its original plastics, graphics, tires, and enclosed chain guard still intact is becoming exceptionally difficult.

Fun and Easy for Almost Anyone to Ride

Honda designed the EZ90 as an approachable, all-purpose recreational motorcycle. It combines trail-bike capability with scooter-like ease of operation. Features include:

All motorcycles & vehicles are sold as-is where-is.

Kaplan Cycles guarantees all motorcycles are as-described. Please read the entire description and watch the entire video before bidding.

A non-refundable deposit is due immediately on purchase. PayPal or Credit Card is accepted for the deposit.

Cash (In-Person), Card (+3% fee), or Wire Transfer are our only accepted forms of final payment.

Full payment must be made within 7 days of auction close.

Your motorcycle must be picked up within 30 days of auction close. 

Exceptions are made only for international buyers OR buyers who have ALREADY made transport arrangements with a third party.

If a motorcycle is purchased and left here for longer than 30 days without written permission from Kaplan Cycles it will be resold. In the case of a re-sale, the owner will be entitled to a refund less storage fees ($25/ day beginning 30 days from auction close) ONLY if the motorcycle was paid in full on-time within the auction terms.

We always describe our motorcycles as accurately as possible.

You are purchasing a classic motorcycle. Even in cases where a bike may be in good running/ operating condition, new problems & idiosyncrasies can arise over-time from sitting or regular use.

If you have an issue with the motorcycle you’ve received, contact us within 24 hours of delivery and before leaving feedback so that we can address your concerns.

It is important you have at least a basic mechanical knowledge before purchasing and operating a classic motorcycle.

Due to our backlog, we cannot perform any additional service work or modifications on your motorcycle after the sale (ie; adding a light kit, different tires, etc.)

In some cases we will sell motorcycles without title or registration. In these cases we guarantee all motorcycles sold are free and clear. We will always provide a route to obtaining title. Generally in these cases, the motorcycle will be sold at a discount to accommodate expenses involved.

Documents are mailed via USPS priority mail with a tracking number. Please allow up to 14 days after payment in full for your documents to be processed and mailed.

Keys will be shipped with the motorcycle.
