Description

1971 Rupp Hustler Mini Bike – Original Paint Survivor

Fully Serviced, Tuned & Detailed - American-Made Collectible

The Cadillac of American Mini Bikes

Offered here is a beautiful 1971 Rupp Hustler, one of the most iconic and desirable American-made mini bikes ever produced. Built in Mansfield, Ohio, Rupp dominated the mini bike industry in the late 1960s and early 1970s, producing more mini bikes than any other manufacturer in the United States. The Hustler was considered one of Rupp's premium off-road models and remains a highly sought-after collector's piece today.

This particular Hustler was acquired from a private collector in Florida and appears to retain its original factory paint and graphics. The original tank decal remains intact, and the bike displays the honest patina and character expected from a well-preserved 55-year-old survivor. We have every reason to believe the paint is original to the machine.

Unlike many restored examples, this Hustler offers the authenticity collectors appreciate while still being mechanically sorted and ready to ride or display.

Mint Examples Like This Investment Quality 71' Rupp are highly valued as collectibles.

With Values sky rocketing over the last 5 years; auction sales from $7000 to a $16,500 Mecum sale have been recorded online.

Historical Significance

For many enthusiasts, Rupp mini bikes represent a simpler era of American motorcycling. These machines introduced countless young riders to the sport and became a staple of suburban neighborhoods, farms, and campgrounds throughout America.

The Hustler was among Rupp's most respected models and shared showroom space with legendary machines such as the Black Widow and various street-legal Rupp models. Today they are prized by collectors, museums, and vintage mini bike enthusiasts alike.

Whether you're looking for a centerpiece for your collection, a nostalgic investment-grade collectible, or a vintage mini bike to enjoy on private property, this Hustler checks all the boxes.

Condition

This motorcycle presents exceptionally well for its age and remains largely original. Everything appears intact and correct. The suspension functions properly, the brakes work as intended, and the machine is ready to be displayed in a museum or enjoyed as it was over five decades ago.
