1970 HONDA TRAIL 70 CT70
Concours Frame-Off Restoration
Showroom New Condition With 10 Miles
If you're looking for one of the finest Honda CT70s in existence, your search may very well be over.
Offered here is an absolutely stunning 1970 Honda CT70 Trail 70, professionally restored to an exceptional concours standard and showing only 10.5 miles since completion. Simply put, this motorcycle presents exactly as a brand-new CT70 would have looked rolling out of a Honda dealership in 1970.
As my father always said, "If you're not happy with this one, you'll never be happy."
That statement perfectly describes this motorcycle.
This CT70 comes from the private collection of a longtime Honda enthusiast in Michigan who specialized in concours-level Honda restorations. We purchased seven of his motorcycles, all restored to an extraordinary standard, and this Trail 70 is among the finest examples.
No expense was spared during this comprehensive restoration. The motorcycle was completely disassembled and restored from the frame up with meticulous attention paid to every detail.
The engine was completely rebuilt from the crankshaft up and performs exactly as a new Honda should.
Highlights include:
-
Complete engine rebuild
-
New piston and rings
-
New valves
-
New cam chain
-
New clutch assembly

The underside of the motorcycle is every bit as impressive as the top side. The bottom of the engine, frame, fuel tank area, and even the underside of the seat reflect the level of craftsmanship invested in this restoration.
The Honda CT70 has become one of the most desirable and collectible minibikes ever produced. Its iconic styling, legendary reliability, and historical significance have made it a favorite among collectors worldwide.
This is An Investment Quality Classic With Many Examples of Similar Units Selling at Auction From $9,500 to $17,000 On Mecum and Other Sited
Honda engineered these motorcycles so well that the basic engine design inspired countless copies around the world, and many of the principles remain evident in modern Honda small-displacement motorcycles today.
Finding a CT70 is easy.
Finding one restored to this level is not.
Restoration Investment
Anyone familiar with professional motorcycle restorations understands the costs involved. A restoration of this caliber requires an average of 70 Hours Of Shop labor (@$150 PH = $10,000) plus thousands of dollars in parts, chrome work, paint, and detailing.
At today's professional restoration rates, recreating a CT70 to this standard can easily exceed $10,000.
