Description
1986 HONDA TLR200 REFLEX
PRISTINE MINT ORIGINAL SURVIVOR
LIKE NEW WITH ONLY 1,670 MILES
FULLY SERVICED, TUNED & DETAILED
Feast your eyes on this absolutely pristine 1986 Honda TLR200 Reflex. Now celebrating its 40th birthday, this remarkably preserved Honda has only 1,670 original miles and is as close to a brand-new example as you are likely to find outside of a crate.
This is not a frame-off restoration. It is an exceptionally well-preserved original survivor that has been carefully maintained, fully serviced, and professionally detailed. The original factory paint, plastics, turn signals, taillight, exhaust, cycle parts, hardware, decals, and finishes remain in outstanding condition.
The TLR200 Reflex combines the balance and maneuverability of a trials motorcycle with the comfort, lighting, and equipment needed for street use. Unlike a competition-only trials bike, it has a proper seat, allowing you to sit comfortably while trail riding or cruising around town. It is completely street legal and equipped with its original turn signals, headlight with high and low beam, taillight, horn, speedometer, and related road equipment.
Powered by Honda’s legendary air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine, the TLR200 shares much of its proven design philosophy with the virtually indestructible XR200. These engines are known for their simplicity, reliability, excellent low-end power, and exceptionally long service life.
This outstanding example has received a comprehensive mechanical service and a full rotisserie detail here at the New England Motorcycle Museum.

ENGINE
Mechanically, the motorcycle starts easily, runs beautifully, shifts properly, and is ready to ride and enjoy. It needed very little beyond routine servicing, new consumables, tires, a chain, and a full Rotisserie detailing—an excellent indication of how carefully it has been preserved.
COSMETIC
Cosmetically, this Reflex is truly exceptional. The original factory paint presents beautifully. The original front and rear plastic fenders are in remarkable condition, as are the chrome and plated finishes throughout the motorcycle. The original KJ2-stamped Honda exhaust system remains intact and is in pristine condition. Even the original swingarm decal is still present.
The controls, cables, wheels, hubs, fasteners, frame, engine cases, lighting equipment, and other cycle parts all present exceptionally well. The odometer currently shows only 1,670 original miles. From the condition of the hardware to the preservation of the factory components, this motorcycle reflects a lifetime of careful ownership.
Honda offered the TLR200 Reflex for only a brief period, and very few remain complete with their original street equipment. Finding one with its factory turn signals, taillight, exhaust, paint, plastics, decals, and other original components is difficult. Finding one in this extraordinary condition with only 1,670 miles is rarer still.
This is what we call a “no-excuses” motorcycle: beautifully preserved, fully serviced, professionally detailed, and ready for its next caretaker. It would be equally at home in a serious Honda collection, on display in a museum, riding through the woods, or cruising the back roads.
If you have been searching for an investment-quality Honda TLR200 Reflex, this is the one to own. Bid high and take your chances or Buy It Now—you may not find another example in this condition.
Please call us with any questions or to discuss the motorcycle in greater detail.
Thanks for looking, and God bless America!
