Description
1982 Suzuki RM465 – Frame-Off Restored | Museum Quality | Ultra-Rare Big Bore
If you’re looking for a true vintage motocross weapon—one that still has the power to embarrass modern 450s—this 1982 Suzuki RM465 is in a league of its own.
This isn’t just another old big-bore two-stroke…
This thing is an absolute ANIMAL.
On our test ride, it nearly looped out climbing a hill—the torque and hit are that aggressive. Once it gets into the powerband, it flat-out rips. With the upgraded carb setup, it honestly runs better than new.

PERFORMANCE LEGEND
These RM465s are still competitive TODAY.
A good friend of ours races them at Glen Helen Raceway, lining up against modern 450s—and still pulling holeshots and top-five starts.
If you’re building a vintage motocross race bike, this is about as good as it gets.
If you’re a collector, this is a blue-chip investment piece.
SUMMARY
-
Ultra-rare, low-production model
-
Started as an exceptional original survivor
-
Fully restored to concours-level condition
-
Upgraded where it matters for performance
-
One of the cleanest RM465s in existence
This is not a project. This is not a rider-grade bike.
This is a SHOWPIECE that can still rip your arms off.
