A real time capsule, — this is the nicest 1984 Kawasaki KX250 we’ve ever had through our doors. An original, unrestored survivor with low hours and remarkable preservation, this machine looks and feels like stepping back into a Kawasaki showroom in 1984.
I have a personal connection to this exact model. I graduated high school in 1984, and this bike was my reward for turning my grades around. My mom promised me a brand-new 250 motocrosser if I made the honor roll for 11th and 12th grade — and I did. I remember paying $1,849 at Midtown Kawasaki, and I still recall the smell, sound, and thrill of seeing it delivered. Jeff Ward was dominating on a similar bike, and the KX250 was the machine to own.
This example brings all those memories flooding back — crisp, clean, and ready to display, ride, or race.

Original engine with 200 PSI compression — bore and internals in mint shape (verified via borescope)

Original Kawasaki fuel tank in exceptional condition (most have discolored over decades)
